David Zaikin
Chairman since 2002

Chief Executive Officer since 2004

David Zaikin is a founder of Siberian Energy. He has served as Chairman since December 2002 and as Chief Executive Officer since August 2004.

Mr. Zaikin was instrumental in negotiating and acquiring ZNG’s licenses, having developed the contacts and the knowledge of government procedures while consulting with Kurgan’s Regional Administration (2000-2003) and with the Regional Ministry of Natural Resources (2000-2004) as Chairman of a non-profit Organization Regions on issues of “Licensing Agreements,” “Land Access Agreements” and on establishing a geological database. Mr. Zaikin’s diverse background includes experience in sales, marketing channels, finance and operations. Using his extensive ties to Russia’s business community, as well as to federal and regional government authorities, Mr. Zaikin realized in Siberian Energy the opportunity that had long been the focus of his efforts – namely, to enter Russia’s rapidly growing Oil & Gas sector.

Mr. Zaikin earned a Bachelors Degree in 1989 from Kharkov Government Pharmaceutical Institute and Bachelors Degree in Psychology from Kiev University in 1995. In 2003, David was one of three Canadians recognized by "Who's Who" for his extraordinary achievements.


Helen Teplitskaia 
President
since 2006

Mrs. Teplitskaia is the founder and president of the American-Russian Chamber of Commerce & Industry, president of the American-Eurasian Chamber of Commerce, director of the international Energy Advisory Council, board member of the World Trade Center Illinois, President of Siberian Energy Group and Adjunct Associate Professor of International Business and Markets – Global Initiatives in Management at Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management. Ms. Teplitskaia has successfully assisted a variety of government agencies and private sector companies with start-up operations in new markets, direct investment, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and licensing, marketing research, political interfacing and media relations. Her client base includes the United States Agency for International Development, US State Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Gazprom and Morgan Stanley. Helen received her BA/MIS degrees from the St. Petersburg University of Culture, St. Petersburg, Russia, and an MBA degree from Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management, Evanston, Ill.

Tim Peara
Vice Chairman
since 2005

Upon joining Siberian Energy in April 2005, Tim Peara brings 23 years experience in deal structuring, business development and finance. He has worked extensively in the natural resource sector especially in the Former Soviet Union and Latin America. He started his career with securities firms (Prudential Securities 1983-91, Lehman Brothers 1991-97) in financial futures, mortgage-backed securities and emerging markets fixed income. He has worked as a business developer for US private oil company Koch Industries (1997-98), an oil & gas pipeline joint-venture of GE-Capital and Bechtel (1998-2000) and for pipeline and power developer United Technologies Energy Holdings (2000-2001). From 2001 to 2003, Mr. Peara headed the London office of EMFI, a specialist financial arranger for western-managed international oil & gas companies. Mr. Peara is also the managing director at Alternative Energy Finance -- a European financial advisor based in London.

Tim holds an MBA from the University of Chicago (Finance / International Business) and a BA (Latin American Studies) from Wesleyan University, Connecticut.


Elena Pochapski
Chief Financial Officer
since 2003

Elena Pochapski is the Chief Financial Officer at Siberian Energy Group. Prior to joining the company, Elena worked with a variety of companies, including Price Waterhouse Coopers, in accounting and finance roles. She has extensive experience in public accounting, audits, and corporate finance. Elena also has a familiarity with Russian accounting procedures and is experienced in translating Russian financial statements into US GAAP and IAS.

Elena holds a Bachelor of Economics degree from Moscow State University. She is also certified as a CGA and CPA (State of Maine).
